Queen Letizia of Spain jumps on a plane ahead of her and King Felipe VI’s two-day trip to Sweden
Queen Letizia combined a festive atmosphere with her impeccable sense of fashion when she went on a two-day trip to Sweden this morning.
The Spanish king, 49, wrapped in a red Hugo Boss coat and black culottes when she boarded a flight to Sweden with King Felipe VI, 53, at Adolfo Suarez Madrid-Baraja International Airport.
The parents of two children have been invited to spend two days in Sweden with the royal family and will enjoy a schedule packed with engagements during their second official trip outside Spain since the corona pandemic began.
Fashion forward Letizia did not sacrifice style for comfort ahead of her three-hour flight and chose the fantastic coat she wore for the first time in 2017 at a meeting with the Spanish Association against Cancer (AECC).

The Hugo Boss issue has a cozy wrap-around coat in an oversized collar, while a belt tied at the waist emphasized the Spanish queen’s petita frame.
She made the coat speak by keeping the rest of the outfit black, with a simple polo shirt and black culottes, which she paired with black leather boots with a sensible heel.
The mother of two was also seen with a pair of black leather gloves, perfect for the frosty weather that awaited her in Sweden.
Her brown cap looked particularly elegant, straight and tucked into the coat’s collar with just a streak of natural gray hair peeking through.

Even on the go, the Spanish royalty put on a glamorous make-up, with its characteristic bronze eye shadow and a dash of mascara, with a dash of bronze that accentuated her healthy complexion.
She is known for rocking minimalist jewelry, and she adorned a pair of medium-sized gold earrings.
King Felipe VI went with his wife and looked smart in a navy blue overcoat which he wore over a black suit, light pink shirt and a pink tie.
The Spanish couple has a busy schedule ahead of them in Sweden this week.

Spanish media Lectures reported that the King and Queen will be received by a welcome committee in Stockholm, before enjoying a carriage ride through the streets of Stockholm, a visit to the Nobel Museum, regular meetings between the monarchs and a gala banquet.
The party is attended by King Carl Gustav and Queen Silvia of Sweden, as well as Crown Princess Victoria and her husband Prince Daniel and Prince Carl Philip and Princess Sofia who welcomed a son this summer.
The visit aims to promote good relations between Spain and Sweden as well as support to recover from the Covid-19 pandemic.

During the visit, Felipe VI will give the Grand Cross of the Royal and Distinguished Spanish Order of Carlos III to Queen Silvia to show her “royal appreciation.”
The light blue silk ribbon is the second most important order in Spain, below the golden skin, which was awarded to Princess Leonor, Felipe VI and Letizia’s eldest daughter, 15.
Felipe VI also announced that Crown Princess Victoria will receive the Grand Cross of the Order of Isabel la Católica, who was previously her mother.
Prince Daniel, Prince Carlos Felipe and Princess Sofia have also been recognized by the kings. They will receive the Grand Cross of the Order of Civil Merit.
King Carl Gustav will not receive his own order because he was already decorated with the Gold Fleece Order in 1984.
This is the second time since the beginning of the coronavirus pandemic that the Spanish royal couple travels outside Spain.
Earlier this month, they went to Paraguay for an official diplomatic trip, where they met with the country’s president and first lady to discuss a cooperation program between the two countries.
