In order to create a basis for equal rights for all children in the world, the Convention on the Rights of the Child was passed in 1989. It comprises 54 articles. Including the right to education, the right to leisure and the right to a family. These rights are particularly important for the school children in Balzers. That came out on the occasion of the workshop that UNICEF Switzerland and Liechtenstein held in preparation for the visit by Prime Minister Daniel Risch. When the distinguished visitor came in the afternoon, the students yesterday talked to him for an hour about topics that they are currently working on. These are among others: Leisure, Environment and Nature, as well as Corona. Finally, the children were allowed to ask the head of government personal questions. For example: “Have you always wanted to be head of government?” “No,” answered Daniel Risch with a laugh, “when I was your age, I wanted to be a pilot”.
