Nora Mørk becomes an Esbjerg player
Mørk has signed a two-year contract with the Danish club from the summer of 2022. It was Danish TV 2 that mentioned the case first.
– This has been quite simple. I continue the plan I have always had to play abroad, says Mørk to TV 2 and continues:
– Esbjerg has a good team and has a good coach. It is a good league that is very popular and the club has good ambitions. I’ve had it fine in Vipers, so it has nothing to do with Vipers that I leave. I think it’s exciting out there and now it’s time to switch.
Mørk’s girlfriend, Jerry Tollbring, plays in Danish GOG – only a two hour drive from Esbjerg.
– It is a very big plus, Mørk answers and laughs when she is asked if her boyfriend has had an impact on the choice.
It thinks TV 2’s handball expert Bent Svele is one reason for the club change.
– It is clear that it is sad for the REMA 1000 league that she leaves it because she is a journey there, but it is something that draws her to Denmark. Boyfriend Jerry Tollbring plays in GOG, says Svele and adds that the Danish league is better than the Norwegian elite series:
– But Vipers are better than the Danish teams. This is a purchase of Esbjerg and they are serious about their Champions League bet. The Danish team gets a Norwegian colony with Henny Ella Reistad, Kristine Breistøl, Marit Malm Frafjord (retiring after the current season), Marit Røsberg Jacobsen, Vilde Mortensen Ingstad and Sanna Solberg – and now Nora Mørk. It is good for the Norwegian national team.
The national team star went home first and foremost to Norway and the Vipers because his mother was ill.
– It is also a plus with Denmark, because it is not far from Norway. In order for me to be able to perform on the field, I have to feel good off the field. I am very much looking forward to joining a new club and becoming part of the Norwegian gang down there, says the fullback.
Mørk has played in Denmark earlier in her career when she as a 16-year-old played for Aalborg in 2007.
Since his stay in Denmark, Mørk has wasted for Larvik, Györ, CSM Bucharest and most recently Vipers Kristiansand.
