Nicolaes Tulp Symposium 2022: submit your research before January 16 and win!
Dear Colleague,
After the two successful previous editions, we are delighted as KNMG district Amsterdam/North Holland, in association with Martin of Marum Foundation and the Amsterdam Medical Student Magazine, to organize the Nicolaes Tulp Symposium again. The future scientific award ceremony of the Public award ceremony on Wednesday evening May 18, 2022 in the Theaterzaal of the Public Amsterdam. We invite you to submit your research for a chance to win the KNMG District Amsterdam/North Holland Development Prize, Martinus van Marum Medicine Prize of the AMSj Research Prize.
With the Development Prize of €1500 we want to encourage doctors and medical students to build bridges between healthcare and medium-sized scientific research. Think of patient-related research with a social, innovative and interdisciplinary character. During our first edition on October 12, 2019, Roel Achterbergh won with his research into the effect of HIV prophylaxis PreP on mental and drug-related problems. General practitioner Monique van Montfort-Snoek fell in the second edition on June 8, 2021 with her research into a visible, regional miracle protocol. See here the report of the evening and the video for an impression.
In addition to the Development Prize, the Martinus van Marum Prize for Medicine (€3000) and the AMSj Research Prize (€1000) will also be awarded. The Amsterdam Medical Student Journal is aimed at medical students of the Amsterdam UMC. The Martinus van Marum Foundation offers a platform for young doctors and medical researchers. We are open to submissions from medical students as well as physicians and physician researchers. Because the participation criteria for our Development Prize have a lot of overlap with the Martinus van Marum Prize for Medicine, candidates can register for both prizes this year (choice 4 on the entry form.
Do you recognize yourself in the above description and meet our entry criteria, or do you know someone who meets the criteria, then we look forward to receiving your entry!
With best regards,
Reza, Linda, Dwayne, Mirjam, Lisa and Pheck Hwa
