Arterris opens an MO store in Toulouse
Six months after the opening of its first store in Balma, the Arterris group is opening a second “MO” Marché Occitan store in Toulouse, in Borderouge. The cooperative confirms its ambition to democratize distribution in short circuits and takes a further step towards its objective of opening around twenty “MO” stores within 5 years.
A first attempt transformed with the Balma brand
First an online store, the concept of the “MO” Marché Occitan convenience store was then rolled out through the opening of a first physical store located in Balma, on the outskirts of Toulouse. This opening was a success. Indeed, the store is already recording a 36% increase in footfall compared to the Larroque brand it replaces.
The MO butcher stores all trades (butcher, sweet, savory, vegetables, dairy, rotisserie, etc.) and offers more than 500 references, 70% of which come from the cooperative’s productions, and 30% from local partner suppliers The brand’s best sellers are essentially fresh and meat products (poultry, semi-cooked foie gras, duck breast, fresh pork and duck sausage, ground beef steak and entrecote) as well as smoked salmon.
Just like the “MO” store in Balma, the Borderouge brand replaces the former Larroque store, a brand of the historic cooperative mainly focused on fatty ducks and poultry. The store has been completely redesigned with furniture that reflects the authentic and typical appearance of the products, as well as the customer journey which has been revised and streamlined.
For its Borderouge store, Arterris aims to achieve a turnover of 1.5 million euros excluding tax and to welcome nearly 44,000 customers by 2,026. Search for premises for its openings.
