The trial against the Swiss with roots from Kosovo will not take place until next January, but on Monday his girlfriend at the time was questioned as a witness in the district court. She sat next to the accused, and there were three other colleagues on the back seat of the car. “Without drugs and alcohol it would not have come this far,” the now 18-year-old woman told the judge.
They were all in a good mood until the two policemen wanted to check the car. “Gönd away, fuck off” her boyfriend screamed and made a wiping motion. Then he accelerated and raced off. According to the friend, the policewoman made another move to the weapon, then she was “pecked away”. After the crime, the five young people drove home, where they continued to consume weed, cocaine, and alcohol.
Prohibitedly filmed sex workers
The five young people drove to Strichplatz in Zurich-Altstetten shortly after 11 p.m. on February 28, 2020 and filmed the sex workers. When one of the women was dying told the police officers present, two of them wanted to check the car. According to the indictment, the accused stopped briefly, put the car in reverse and drove back quickly. A SIP Züri employee who had also stepped in was able to jump to safety in the last few seconds.
After reversing a few meters, the accused stopped abruptly, engaged forward gear and gave full throttle. The car caught the policewoman, who was standing on the left side of the car. Her right leg got stuck in the wheel area and the woman was dragged 16 meters away from the car. A pedestrian and a prostitute who were also there were able to save themselves by jumping over to the side in front of the car.
The then 38-year-old city police officers suffered severe injuries and are still suffering heavily from the consequences today. She suffered a complicated fracture of the base of the skull, leg and knee injuries and was in acute danger of death. Due to the indictment, she is likely to suffer from headaches and impaired performance for years and has irreversibly lost her meaning. SHE can no longer pursue her leisure activities such as swimming, cycling, walking with dogs and work as a police officer in the front line.
In urban areas, traveling at 110 kilometers per hour
The young man, who has no job and lives in the city of Zurich, had also made various trips in his father’s car, even though the road traffic office had refused to give him a learner’s license. So he raced in town at over 110 kilometers per hour and filmed himself. The police also found illegal films depicting violence on his cell phone.
The prosecutor calls for the 20-year-old to be imprisoned for 16 years for multiple attempted murder, endangering life and other traffic offenses. The trial will take place in mid-January 2022 at the Zurich District Court.
