Zlatan Ibrahimovic admits that he deliberately wiped out Cesar Azpilicueta in Spain against Sweden
Zlatan Ibrahimovic caused a stir earlier this month after a clash with Cesar Azpilicueta during Sweden World Cup qualifier against Spain.
Spain led 1-0 in stoppage time when the two players collided in the box.
Azpilicueta was sent to the ground in a pile while Zlatan tried to protest against his innocence.
Zlatan escaped a red card and instead received a warning from the referee.
Repeats showed that the 40-year-old might have been lucky enough to stay on the field.
It was previously unknown whether Zlatan’s actions were intentional or not.
But, in an incredible interview with the Guardian, AC Milan striker has revealed that he deliberately wiped out the Chelsea ace.

He began: “The other day in the national team, I gave another tackle [Spain’s Azpilicueta]. I did it on purpose. I’m not ashamed to say it because he did something stupid to my player. Acts a lot against my player.
“It was a stupid thing, but I would still do it to make him understand: ‘You’re not doing that. You have no balls to do that to me. But I’ll show you what happens if you do that to me. That’s why I did it. “
Zlatan revealed that Azpilicueta did not say anything to him after the match.
He continued: “What can he say? He will not say it to me but he will say it to my player – who will not do anything because he is too kind. It was not good of me, but I would “Do it anyway. It’s me. I’m not ashamed to say it.”

The Swedish striker now misses Sweden’s first playoff match in March. Nevertheless, he does not regret taking Azpilicueta and has promised to do so again.
“It’s not about missing the playoffs. It’s about making the guy understand that you do not piss on someone who goes to bed [on the ground].
“You do not attack a dog that does not talk. Attack the one who can do something. It is too easy to touch my teammates who are 20 years old and very nice guys. I hope he understands now.
“I did a stupid thing. [But] I will do it again. 100%. “
