Ukraine told the UN Security Council about Russia’s supply of weapons to the occupied territories
The occupation of the occupied weapons is one of the best in the sphere of Ukraine, which protects its sovereignty and territorial integrity from aggression.
This was answered by the Permanent Representative of Ukraine to the UN Yuri Vitrenko during the debate in the Security Council on the shooting of weapons and small arms, Ukrinform correspondent in New York.
“Ukraine is operating with an illegal supply of weapons on a large scale across the border in the temporarily occupied territories of Donetsk and Luhansk regions and in the Crimea,” the diplomat said.
He reminded of the regular “secret convoys that report to and leave Ukraine.” According to Vitrenko, more and more weapons, ammunition and military equipment are being delivered to Ukraine under the pretext of humanitarian aid or other means.
Such actions run counter to the letter and spirit of the UN program to prevent illegal shootings, as well as support global and regional relations in this area, Vitrenko said.
“The only effective way to stop this is to restore full control of the Ukrainian government in the area of internationally recognized borders of our country,” the Ukrainian diplomat concluded.
