Theater, new and expanded Board of Directors to five President confirmed

Pisa. New board of directors enlarged to five members for the Teatro Verdi Foundation in Pisa. Confirmed to the presidency Patrizia Paoletti Tangheroni, while the board of directors has been completely updated. They enter as advisers Gina Giani, former CEO of Toscana Aeroporti spa, the Pisan musicologist and marketing and communication expert Alessandro Carugini, the former artistic director for opera at the Teatro Verdi in Pisa, the maestro and baritone Marcello Lippi and the Pisan lawyer Sara Micheletti. The accountant leaves the board Giuseppe Mangano and the lawyer Elena Pepe. The appointments were proposed on Friday afternoon by the Board of Directors of the Foundation met in the presence of the mayor and the majority shareholders (Toscana Aeroporti, Toscana Energia, University of Pisa). “I am very honored by this appointment”, is how Gina Giani wanted to comment on her entry into the CD of the Teatro di Pisa Foundation. «Theater and music – continued Giani – are a world that has always fascinated me. I have a degree in history of music and cinema and many years ago I also had an activity related to this sector, which I carried on even when I was working inside the airport. So I am very pleased to be able to be useful with my knowledge and skills in the management of the theater of Pisa. It will certainly be a very interesting experience, from several points of view. I therefore very gladly accept this unexpected appointment ». Patrizia Paoletti Tangheroni was also satisfied, reconfirmed at the helm of the city theater, after her first appointment in autumn 2018. “I am very happy to be able to work with a team of top-level managers and technicians within Verdi, including the artistic director and the general manager – commented Paoletti Tangheroni -. Now also with the new colleagues of the board of directors, valid and competent professionals, with whom we will have to continue to carry out a work to enhance the city theater with interesting and far-reaching projects for the whole city ».
