Student campus at Bullewijk station is expanding with 350 homes
The student campus on Karspeldreef in Zuidoost will be expanded with 350 homes for students and young people. There will also be a food court, a study and laundry room and social facilities. Construction is expected to start in 2023.
In 2019, the old DAS office at 15 Karspeldreef was converted into student residences. The complex was further developed into a fully-fledged and now student campus.
residential tower
An 80 meter high residential tower with approximately 350 studios will be built on top of the parking garage. The studios are on average 18.5 m² and 26 m² in size. A food court will be built on the first floors: a restaurant with various stalls, where the neighborhood can also come and eat. An integrated study and washroom will also be built there, as well as social facilities for the neighbourhood. There will be a terrace for residents on the roof. The courtyard is accessible to everyone.
Maximum rental prices
An agreed date has been agreed that 30 percent of the homes will be rented out for a maximum of € 442. The other studios have a maximum rent of € 752.33. There is also an agreement about how much may be charged for service costs.
sustainable
Solar panels in the facade of the building and recycled materials are used. In addition, flexibility has been considered. For example, the walls of the studio can be removed if, for example, there are more larger homes in the city. Plants will be planted in the courtyard that remain green all year round. And with its location near Bullewijk station, we encourage the use of public transport and bicycles.
Opportunities for young people in Southeast
A date has been agreed on when 25 percent of the homes will be given priority to students and young people from Zuidoost. This way they can continue to live in their own neighbourhood, close to family and friends.
