ORF starts “Impflotterie Österreich” – oesterreich.ORF.at
Coronavirus
The ORF starts an vaccination lottery to increase the CoV vaccination rate in Austria. Eligible for participation are people aged 18 and over living in Austria who have been or will be vaccinated against Covid-19 between October 1 and December 20.
It does not matter whether it is a first, second or third stitch. Almost 1,000 non-cash prizes will be raffled – for example a prefabricated family house, an electric car, kitchen equipment and smart TVs. All prices are provided by Austrian companies. ORF General Director Alexander Wrabetz gave the starting shot for the “Austria Vaccination Lottery – Who Vaccines Wins” on Monday as part of a special edition of “Stöckl live”.
Registrations are now and exclusively at Werimpftgewinnt.orf.at possible. Name, address, telephone number and date of birth must be given, but not proof of vaccination. This is only checked in the event that the prizes made available by Austrian companies are won.
Winners will be announced on Christmas Eve
The winners will be announced on December 24th as part of the program “Licht ins Dunkel” on ORF2. Until then, the ORF will be allowed to participate in TV and radio spots as well as editorial contributions – for example in information magazines such as “Guten Morgen Österreich” and “Studio 2” – and regionally in the offers of the state studios and in teletext on page 684 as well as on ORF.at call.
“Big thank you”
“Every day, millions of people in Austria trust the work of ORF journalists, who do their best 24 hours a day in all media to inform dying Austrians based on scientific knowledge. But education and information are sometimes not enough to anchor the indispensable contribution of vaccination to fighting pandemics for as many people as possible, “Wrabetz was quoted as saying.
For this reason, the vaccination lottery is intended to create additional motivation for those willing to vaccinate. “But it is also about a big thank you to everyone who has already had a vaccine or a boost,” said the ORF boss.
