Near Toulouse, Jeanne was born in her parents’ car, in a parking lot, in the middle of traffic jams
Little Jeanne was born faster than expected. Left Grisolles for a maternity hospital in Toulouse, his parents were slowed down by traffic jams. Guided remotely by the firefighters, the father had to give birth to his wife in the car, in the parking lot of a company.
Jeanne was born Wednesday, November 17, 2021, but not really where she was expected to arrive. Indeed, it is in the parking lot of the company Corteva in Aussonne that his parents, Marion Juniet and Antoine Roguin experienced this totally unexpected event.
Leaving at 8:20 am from Grisolles, on the borders of Haute-Garonne and Tarn-et-Garonne, towards the Ducuing maternity unit, with a vague sense of urgency but nothing more, Marion and Antoine trusted the GPS to “avoid plugs “. In fact, they found themselves stuck in the usual morning traffic but on a route they are not used to taking: the Chemin de l’Enseigure in Aussonne. Jeanne, she did not worry about these traffic hazards: she decided to point her nose (two weeks in advance), where dad was able to stop the car: on the first parking space.
By the time dad calls for help, “my wife is going to give birth …. no, my wife has given birth!”, Jeanne was already there! Guided remotely by the emergency services, Antoine did what he could, for example tie the cord with a shoe lace and wrap Jeanne in her sweater to prevent her from getting cold.
Marion said to her future baby, “you can arrive now, we are almost Even ready”, this lightning arrival surprised everyone and will remain engraved in the family memory.
Aussonnaise in its own right
Jean, who weighs 2 kg 800 and 50 cm, is back in Grisolles where she met her big brother Maël, 2 and a half years old. She takes full advantage of mom’s hugs. The whole family would like to thank the firefighters, gendarmes, members of the Samu and the Pediatric Samu who quickly took over and allowed Jeanne to enter life in the best possible conditions.
Such a birth registered in the civil status of the town of Aussonne is a remarkable event, since it is the place of birth which is registered in the civil status and not the place of residence of the parents. Jeanne is therefore a full-fledged Aussonnaise.
