The Security Council told about the methods of penetration of terrorists into Russia: Incidents: Russia: Lenta.ru
The situation in Afghanistan does not give grounds for optimism, since instability poses a risk of increased drug trafficking, arms smuggling and uncontrolled migration. This concern was expressed by the Deputy Secretary of the Security Council of Russia Alexander Grebenkin in interview “Rossiyskaya Gazeta”.
The growth can be caused by the degradation of the criminality of the socio-political situation, the impoverishment of the population and the reprisals of the Taliban (the movement is recognized as terrorist and banned in the Russian Federation) over their own citizens, said the deputy secretary.
Grebenkin explained that one of the ways terrorists can enter Russian territory is through the border with neighboring countries, for example, Kazakhstan.
Zamir Kabulov, Director of the Second Asia Department of the Russian Foreign Ministry, also spoke about the bad economic situation in Afghanistan. “It comes to the point that there are already many when we read reports that some Afghan families are forced to sell their children, daughters in order to somehow survive. This is one of the consequences, ”he admitted.
