An eventful year for Salzburg tennis came to an end with the state championships. Gabriel Schmidt reached the semi-finals, confirming his position as Salzburg’s number one at national level. Internationally, Lukas Neumayer was able to establish himself on the ITF tour, while the women and mostly the youngsters are still fighting to catch up.

Schmidt is ranked 14th in the ÖTV ranking, just ahead of Jakob Aichhorn (16th) and Lukas Neumayer (18th). Benedikt Emesz is 24th and, unlike Neumayer …
