The “family” model in Trentino sets the standard in the Friuli Venezia Giulia Region
Agreement signed between provincial government and the Autonomous Region of Friuli Venezia Giulia to give impetus to the development of family policies and, in parallel, to the exchange of good practices which aim to increase the birth rate, well-being and social cohesion and aportino strengthened territorial and economic growth.

The agreement will be signed on Monday 29 November, as part of the event of the Family festival, until 11.00 in Sala Trentino at the Palazzo della Provincia, between the commissioner Stefania Segnana and the councilor for family policies of Friuli Venezia Giulia Alessia Rosolen.
The national demographic analysis confirms the priority of the issue of denatality, which highlights a 30% drop in births over the past 12 years and the need to intervene with structural intervention policies and plans. Trentino has been demonstrating for years that it is at the forefront in the fight against denatality and does so with transversal, targeted and widespread policies throughout the territory.
Given these premises, at the center of the agreement, in line with the implementation of2030 Agenda, there is the development of policies aimed at promoting gender equality and work-family balance, reducing inequalities, investing in education and training for inclusive and sustainable growth.
In Memorandum of Understanding the Autonomous Region of Friuli Venezia Giulia and the Autonomous Province of Trento highlight the willingness to collaborate in promoting family-friendly policies in their territories in areas of intervention, strategic considerations for territorial development. First of all, as a starting point, the agreement provides for exchanges of good practices implemented by the two administrations in the field of family policies, sharing documents, materials and promoting opportunities for territorial comparison.
At the heart of the partnership, in a second phase, the promotion of tools, developed on the Trentino model, such as: family brands (Family Audit, Family in Trentino, etc.), family standards, family plans, family districts, horizontal subsidiarity, reward systems, with the direct participation of all the actors and organizations of civil society that they constitute and form part of the family system of family associations in the area.
The deal also points to the corporate welfare and, therefore, the activation of virtuous processes – thanks to Family audit – to promote the improvement of reconciliation policies between family life and working life, systems of corporate social responsibility in a circular subsidiary vision that involves the institution, businesses and families, in order to increase a culture of personnel management in the company oriented towards family.
Finally, the partnership stimulates membership in national and European networks, such as the National network of Municipalities friends of the family and the Network Family in Europe, with the aim of systematizing and disseminating the most virtuous policies and measures to enhance the family, as the cornerstone and engine of society, promoting its well-being and supporting the birth rate.
