MOLDPRES News Agency – New local elections are taking place in 15 localities in the Republic of Moldova
Chisinau, Nov. 21 / MOLDPRES /. In 15 localities of the Republic of Moldova, including Balti, new local elections are taking place today, more than 130,600 citizens with the right to vote are expected at the polls, MOLDPRES reports.
Most voters are to vote in Balti, where 101,937 registered voters are registered. The fewest voters included in the voter register are in Ștefănești locality from Ștefan Vodă district where 937 people are counted.
For the conduct of the elections, the Central Electoral Commission approved the printing of 130,917 ballot papers. Thus, for the election of the mayor of Balti, 102,105 ballot papers were printed, of which 51,988 in Romanian and 50,117 in Russian. For the election of mayors in the other 14 localities, a total of 28,812 ballots were printed, of which 24,538 in Romanian and 4,274 in Russian.
At the same time, in order to ensure the participation of citizens who have expired identity documents, on November 21, 2021, she was declared a worker for the employees of the subdivisions responsible for issuing identity documents in constituencies where new local elections are taking place.
The Central Electoral Commission has announced that the organized transportation of voters to the polling stations in the 15 localities where new local elections are taking place is prohibited. The General Inspectorate of Police and the National Car Transport Agency check the passenger transport routes in order to prevent violations in the electoral field.
