Bulldozers lit in January. Objective: to avoid the total closure of the Adriatic, above all – but not only – on the occasion of Sigep, from 22 to 26 at the Fair. Countdown to the elimination of the residual ‘black holes’ of Statale 16: the two maxi-intersections with Montescudo-Coriano and with the consular for San Marino, and related jungle of traffic lights. Expected for about thirty years, the works were ‘set up’ after the summer, with the handover of the areas to the contractor. In January, the first of the two maxi interventions – for a total of 25 million, is paid for by Società Autostrade, which entrusts them to Anas, a CBR contractor. “For months – explains the councilor for Mobility Roberta Frisoni – we have opened a discussion table with Anas, Autostrade, the contractor company and Public Works to coordinate the works, minimizing the impact on the city viability, coordinating them with trade fairs, starting from SIGEP “.” Cbr has made an improvement proposal to accompany the work on construction sites without the state road. There will obviously be restrictions, in some points for certain periods it will go from four to two lanes, one in each direction. There will be detours and reorganization of the carriageways. By giving priority as much as possible to the fluidity of traffic “.
The works that will carry out the two maxi-rondos must formally start together, in January. In fact, to reduce the impact, the fifth will mesh with the Montescudo-Coriano, first of the summer. The other will be built with softer interventions, probably to take off after the tourist season.
At the intersection with the highway to San Marino, an underpass will be built to connect via Euterpe with via della Repubblica and a new cycle and pedestrian path with three underpasses to connect the Cava park to via Montescudo. At the intersection with via Montescudo and via Coriano, where five branches of roads converge, the traffic lights will be replaced by a roundabout of 65 meters in diameter. The cycle / pedestrian path between the Covignano area, via Marecchiese and via Padulli will also be built, about 1.3 kilometers long on the abandoned site of the motorway near the artificial tunnel of Covignano, so as to mend the city between the sea and upstream of the state road. Adriatic. In addition, two cycle and pedestrian underpasses are planned to cross the state road at via della Fiera and via Coriano. Other interventions in Riccione and Misano.
