Slovakia has the worst situation in the world. Heger threatens area locdown
The situation at the Poprad hospital remains critical, this is the room of the urology department, which they had to close and the staff moved to the covid patients.
“Poprad Hospital had to accept that we closed some wards, all specialists were transferred to the care of patients in the covid ward,” said Jozef Tekáč, general director of the Poprad hospital.
The hospital is currently occupied at 94 percent, there is only one free lung ventilation available, and postponed operations are being postponed. Of the 12 operating theaters, only three operate. Doctors are sacrificingly canceling their planned vacations to help seriously ill patients.
“We end up with patients who didn’t have to end up like this if they could be vaccinated,” said Tekac. “The covid has a very strange course, and he behaves very strangely at those lung ventilators,” said Ladislav Brugoš, head of the Department of Anaesthesiology and Intensive Care of the Poprad Hospital.
Today, the premiere also visited the Poprad hospital in person, he heard scary statistics from the primary, mortality from lung ventilation is 80 percent. “The times these patients come with very low saturation, even though they think they’re fine, their lungs are leaving. They have lasting consequences.” said Eduard Heger.
During a visit to the Martin Hospital, Prime Minister Eduard Heger mentioned the very sad story of one family. “The granddaughter brought the covid to the family, it affected the parents, the grandparents and, unfortunately, the grandparents, relatively young, paid for it with their lives,” said Heger.
In the covid ward, they met with paramedics who care for patients with these diseases, and of course, who also have ten of those who have a course. “That’s why I’m very grateful to the paramedics who hand over the last forces in these departments, it’s a sacrifice.” said the prime minister.
The hospital in Turkey is currently one of the busiest. “It had to reprofile more than planned, we have 144 beds occupied, 128 occupied,” said UN Medical Director Martin Dalibor Murgaš.
Slovakia currently has the worst situation in the world. With its seven-day incidence, it leads the ranking with the worst reported epidemic situation. “I really don’t like this fact,” said Minister of Health Vladimir Lengvarsky.
If the situation in the hospitals continues to deteriorate, the Prime Minister does not rule out a general lockdown. “We’re going to have to take tough measures, and that’s a general lockdown,” added Heger.
