Krakow: “Ateliers for inspection” – weekend tours and meetings with artists
The workplaces of Krakow artists can be visited on ten weekends as part of the first action “Pracownie do insight”. On Saturday and Sunday, a guiding visit is planned, during which the hosts will visit the studios and answer about their work.
The action is a continuation of a project that has been showing artists’ workplaces for several years with the help of interviews and photos on the website www.pracowniedowlooku.pl. The work of photographer Anna Stankiewicz and critics and curators Agnieszka Jankowska-Marzec and Martyna Nowicka.
As Anna Stankiewicz informed, the weekend with “Pracownia do insuu” was a natural consequence of these actions. In his artists and studios, they can be artistic as an artist and studios, as well as preserving to this day, joint studios, to late artists.
Artists’ studio – the co-organizer noted – for places exceptional for a working day or providing services only to a group of companies, journalistic spaces and full of works of art, both ready for publication and unfinished.
“By looking at the studios of Krakow artists, visitors will learn about their creative processes, how long it is possible to work on an image, sculpture, what rituals are associated with artistic work” – or the history of Stankiewicz.
According to the tour, there will be keepers who will be, but they will be working with salespeople who will talk about their work.
The tour begins with the family studio of Maria and Jerzy Bereś, late classics of Polish art, incl. The route will also include Tadeusz Kantor on Sienna Street, the workplace, the studio and the artist’s apartment.
Participants will visit the Salt Storehouse in Podgórze, where you will also go to them, including performers Bogumił Książek, Cecylia Malik and Bartolomeo Koczenasz. In the same game there is also the Apteka studio-gallery, belonging to the multidisciplinary creator Alek Janicki.
The doors to their ateliers will also be opened by Krakow graphic artists Anna Sadowska and Agnieszka Berezowska and Bartłomiej Chwilczyński. In turn, Bogusław Bachorczyk will suggest visiting “Our garden” – an open-air studio in the courtyard of one of Krakow’s tenement houses.
During the weekend, you will also be able to work as an employee of the Borów generation of the young generation: Martynycka-Mikuszewska and Grzegorz Siembida.
