In Crimea, they promised to destroy US special forces at distant approaches: Politics: Russia: Lenta.ru
The head of the Crimean parliamentary committee on people’s diplomacy and interethnic relations, Yuri Gempel, reacted to NATO veteran Stavros Atlamazoglu that the American army was preparing to break through the Russian defense of the peninsula. In comments RIA News the deputy pointed out that the chances of success for US special forces in the event of an attack are zero.
He promised that in the current realities the aggressor will be destroyed already at distant approaches, because Russia now is not Afghanistan or Ukraine. “Dreaming is not harmful. All they have to do is to be heroic on the pages of newspapers, ”- Sovetat.
In his opinion, it is possible to speak with Russia from a position of strength only in the 1990s, and as of 2021, a self-sufficient group of armed forces was deployed in Crimea, capable of protecting the peninsula from any external aggression.
Atlamazoglu, in an article for Business Insider, cites excerpts from the United States Special Operations Command (USASOC), in the report of each target of modern special forces. This includes support for conventional army units in close combat and the ability to penetrate forbidden objects deep in enemy territory.
The expert named coastal anti-ship missiles, operational-tactical missile systems, radar stations and air defense systems as the most important. Hence, he concludes that special forces play a central role in Russian installations in the Crimea region and the Chinese borders in the South China Sea.
Earlier, US intelligence also warned American European politicians about a possible imminent Russian invasion of Ukraine. According to the community, there is little time left to prevent Moscow from starting an aggression. In Russia, all charges of this kind are denied.
