Handball. Lanester s’impose sans souci face à Bordeaux – Handball
New evening of celebration at the Jean Zay room. The Lanestériens have chained a new victory, their seventh of the season, and stay the course at the head of the group.
After first stumbling against a Bordeaux team with a respondent, Lanester finally found the fault, during a second period much more controlled, and can project serenely towards the Rennes match. Astonished by the adversity offered by the Girondins, Musy and his teammates were hooked in the first half and returned to the locker room with a small lead of two goals (14-12). The Lanestérien has also declared that in view of this first half the Bordelais “are not the weakest team in the pool and will not finish the last”.
Necessary adjustments
But thanks to some tactical adjustments and a reminder of the instructions, Mathieu Hurtaud’s men widened the gap at the start of the second half and were not recovering. Hurtaud nevertheless stressed the lack of efficiency of his team. “It is the lack of efficiency that is embarrassing. It’s annoying to miss so many opportunities. You have to sort that out and be a little more disciplined, because the overall content was good ”.
The derby against Rennes is now in everyone’s mind. The first, Lanester, travels to the second, the CPB Rennes and the coach from Lanester relies on good preparation before this crucial match. “It’s been two or three games that I feel that we are crumbly in the game. We still lack something to achieve the performance that is expected of us.”
