The time spectrum does not remain only in the Middle Ages. The exhibition will present, for example, copies of works in the style of Dutch masters from the 17th century, as well as imitations of well-known drawings and paintings by Czech painters and artists from the 19th and early 20th centuries. According to experts, the art market is currently filled with counterfeits of up to 30 percent.
Part of the exhibition will also be devoted to copies of non-European works of art and projects – such as oriental rugs from the Middle East. The gallery will also present the work of foreign counterfeiters, and incoming copies have made them famous all over the world.
For example, it presents several forgeries from foreign collections that made their creators, Han van Meegeren, the most famous counterfeiter of the 20th century, famous around the world.
Icilio Federico Joni, a talented forger of masters of ancient Italian painting, is also represented in the selection. He deceived the greatest art connoisseur, and if he did not confess himself, perhaps many of his works would remain undiscovered.

Falza! není tematicky originálním přirůstkem do letošních uměleckých přehlídek. Porovnávání originálů a falešných obrazů letos v exhibici s názvem „Originál? Umění napodobit umění“ uvedla i Galerie moderního umění v Hradci Králové.
