Doctors talked about the decline in the incidence of COVID-19 in Russia: Society: Russia: Lenta.ru
Virologist at the Gamaleya Center Alexander Butenko said that the wave of COVID-19 incidence is gradually receding. He told about this in an interview with radio Sputnik, reports RIA News…
The maximum growth rates of patients with coronavirus were recorded in early November. “To make predictions, there are many factors that cause complex infections. The trend is good now. You can build a mathematical model: if this tendency lasts a week or two, then we can say that things are moving towards an amendment of the situation. But to say categorically on what date the surge in incidence will end, for now, ”he explained.
The specialist added that the epidemic will not end with the decline of the wave. According to him, everything will depend on the discipline of the implementation of the necessary measures. He recommended taking an example from China, where the system of precautions is very strict. “They have achieved great success in this way. The pandemic began there, but they were able to defeat it. We also need to stimulate our people to get vaccinated, ”- the recommendation specialist.
Earlier, virologist Anatoly Altstein said that Russia has passed the peak in COVID-19, but the incidence will remain at a high level. He noted that this level will remain until the vaccination results improve in the country.
