Do you remember the famous first meter of highway in the Moldova region of Romania, built a few years ago in the middle of the field, as a manifesto of the businessman Stefan Mandachi? Well, Stephen’s efforts to turn things around and bring about change did not stop there.
That meter of highway still exists today and has the status of a museum. But in the meantime, the businessman conceived, produced and directed a documentary film, called “30 years and 15 minutes”, in which he deeply analyzes how Romania will have few highways in 30 years. in general, and the region of Moldova ?? not even a highway, just future plans. The film also shows the constant effects of a bad infrastructure, through the 2,000 lives that are lost annually on the roads in Romania. Moreover, the film focuses on specific dramatic cases of shocking accidents in recent years, because sometimes you need to see such clear, real examples to realize the magnitude and severity of the big picture at the country level. The film also features former and current politicians, who are directly confronted, to provide answers to their questions and lack of action, of people who should have changed something.
Recently, the film became available on Netflix, and in a few days it reached the list of those in trend in Romania, gathering a record number of views in the first stage, compared to any other Romanian documentary. Unfortunately, however, the film does not appear if you access Netflix from the Republic of Moldova, which seems to be an absolutely unmotivated decision of Netflix. Stefan and his team created, however, a official site which anyone can buy an online viewing ticket for only 3 Romanian lei, watching the full movie. All the money raised from the film will be donated for the construction of the hospital in the city of Gura Humorului, Moldova’s region of Romania.
We include below the official trailer of this film. And we cannot help but express our admiration for the energy of Stefan Mandachi to fight for his idea, to turn it into a public discussion at the national level and to push that state machine to move in the direction of highway construction, including in the area of Moldova. . , which would benefit both those in Romania and those in the Republic of Moldova. See below the trailer of the film that has become the most popular documentary of the moment on Netflix in Romania.
