the initiative to enrich school libraries
From tomorrow the libraries of the San Marino middle school they will become richer, thanks to the # Ioleggoperché project. For the first time on the Titano comes the initiative promoted by the Italian Publishers Association, which, through the enrichment of school libraries, aims to train new readers. From tomorrow until Sunday 28 November, anyone can donate a book for pupils by purchasing it in participating libraries. At the end of the collection, the Publishers will contribute a number of books equal to the total Italian national donation, which this year also includes San Marino, giving them to the participating schools and dividing them according to an equal number.
In practice, here’s how to cling to the initiative: “If a parent, relative or friend wants donate a book – explains the president of the middle school, Remo Massari -, must contact one of the five affiliated bookstores and specify that the book to be purchased is intended for the initiative. Unfortunately these are all in Rimini, because no bookshop in San Marino has been able to reach this initiative “.
The participating bookstores are the Feltrinelli in Largo Giulio Cesare, Viale dei Ciliegi 17, Mondadori Bookstore in the offices of Piazza Tre Martiri, in the shopping center Le Befane and Viale Vespucci. Books can be purchased directly on site, booked by phone, or, where possible, purchased online. An important gesture to contribute to the culture of the new generations.
