Portugal wins silver for teams not double mini-trampoline of the World Cups – Observer

Portugal won the first medal this Friday, in this case the silver one, at the Trampoline World Championships, which are being held since yesterday in Baku, Azerbaijan.

Diogo Cabral, Diogo Fernandes, Tiago Romão and André Nunes reached a total of 111,300 points in the final by teams of the double mini-trampoline, just behind the Russian Gymnastics Federation team (Aleksandr Odintsov, Vasilii Makarskii, Mikhail Zalomin and Mikhail Iurev) but ahead of third third Spain (David Franco, Carlos del Ser, Andrés Martínez and Santiago Brea).
It should be remembered that, at the end of the 2019 edition in Tokyo, Portugal, then with Tiago Romão, João Caeiro, Diogo Carvalho Costa and Diogo Cabral, it had ended in third position behind Russia and USA.
In parallel, Portugal managed to confirm two more finals on this second day of World Cups in Baku: on the synchronized men’s springboard, Rúben Tavares and Lucas Santos managed to score 93,910 points, ending up in fourth place ahead of Diogo Abreu and Pedro Ferreira, who finished fifth with 92,630 points; on the synchronized women’s trampoline, Beatriz Martins and Catarina Nunes finished qualifying with 86,770 points and confirmed in fourth place, securing a place in the decisive competition ahead of Mariana Carvalho and Sofia Correia (fifths classified with 86,170 points).
