messages of affection from Charlene’s children to their recovering mother
Jacques and Gabriella, children of Albert and Charlene, posted this Friday, during the celebrations of Monaco’s national day, messages addressed to their mother, absent.
Crown Prince Jacques of Monaco and his twin sister Gabriella (6) appeared on the balcony of the princely palace on Friday waving messages of affection for their mother Charlene, absent for health reasons from the celebrations of Monaco’s national day.
“We love you mom” (we love you, mom) was written on a large white paper brandished by Prince Jacques. “We miss you mom (we miss you, mom)”, added the second message carried by the princess Gabriella.
The two children stood before their father, prince albert, on the balcony of the Monegasque palace from where they attended the traditional parade of the national day followed by many inhabitants of the principality who waved red and white flags and acclaimed their monarch.
The Monegasque palace announced on Tuesday that Princess Charlene of Monaco would not participate in the Principality’s national holiday alongside her family because of “a state of deep general fatigue”, after her return from South Africa where she has undergone several surgeries.
A period of calm and rest
This announcement came when the princess was expected that same day alongside her husband for a parcel delivery by the Monegasque Red Cross.
Prince Albert and Princess Charlene “have agreed together that a period of calm and rest is necessary for the good recovery of the health of Princess Charlene” so that the latter will recover “from a state of deep general fatigue” after a “medical course (…) very trying in recent months,” the statement said.
After many stints in South Africa, where she underwent several surgeries due to a serious ear, nose and throat infection, the wife of Prince Albert of Monaco, 43, was returned to the Principality on November 8.
