International day for the rights of children and adolescents
On the day when children’s rights are celebrated worldwide, November 20, Kiwanis (Divisions 15 Lombardia Liguria and 20 San Marino Marche) turns the spotlight on minors and vulnerable people with an event in the splendid location of the City of San Marino . Duration of the conference from 9.00 to 13.00. The outcome of a team effort that involved Magistrates, Police Officers, Doctors, Lawyers will be presented to the public in order to guarantee respect for the rights of those who find themselves living in situations of danger and hardship. The event is sponsored by the Secretariat of State for Foreign Affairs, the Secretariat of State for Education and Culture of the Rep. Of San Marino, the University of Insubria, the Forli Private Hospitals and the Sec. Rimini of the ANPS will be an unmissable opportunity for in-depth study for those who, committed to preventing and stemming violence in all its forms, are called to reconcile the needs of justice with the essential ones of respect for the rights and frailties of every human being. The event dedicated to all those who work in the field of juvenile justice: lawyers, magistrates, social workers, police forces and students who deepen the subject. For the Kiwanis there will be the Lieutenant Giuseppe Bertini and the hostess, Lieutenant Biancamaria Toccagni together with the President of the San Marino Club hosting the event, Mihaela Anghel. The presence of the Immediate Past Governor of the Italy – San Marino District, Avv. Maura Magni among the speakers of the morning is also foreseen. The Republic of San Marino will be institutionally represented by the Director of Legal Affairs – Foreign Affairs Department, Dr. Maria Alessandra Albertini. The contributions of the study day will be provided by professionals who are committed on a daily basis to prevent and combat the damage of vulnerable subjects, in particular children, women and the elderly. The text resulting from this valuable work will then be presented and made available and as always, when it comes to Kiwanis, the proceeds will be made available to service projects related to this theme. the author of the text, Silvia Nanni: qualified lawyer, inspector of the State Police, formerly in the homicide section of the mobile team currently and contact person of the Office for the fight against violence on behalf of the judicial authority, collaborator of the General Management Students, Inclusion and Participation of the Ministry of Education in the field of Bullying, Cyberbullying and youth discomfort. The initiative was welcomed with great interest by the Lieutenant of the XX San Marino-Marche Division, Biancamaria Toccagni, also representing the Governor, Angela Catalano, involved in the European meeting in Gent, and by the President of the Kiwanis Club San Marino, Mihaela Anghel, and by all the members of the association. The Kiwanis club San Marino feels obliged to thank the Secretary of State for Education, Andrea Belluzzi, and the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs, Luca Beccari, for their sponsorship of the conference.
