The meeting of the Executive Committee of the North-South Center of the Council of Europe took place today in a hybrid format, benefiting both from a strong mobilization of its members, as well as from the participation of program managers. presenting the future projects of the Center.

The Executive Committee approved the North-South Center Program of the Council of Europe for the next four years.

On the occasion of the meeting, the Executive Director of the North-South Center of the Council of Europe, Ambassador Afonso Malheiro, was in Strasbourg on Wednesday. This first visit allowed several bilateral meetings with important exchanges on the collaboration between the North-South Center and other entities of the Council of Europe.

Indeed, the executive director had the opportunity to meet the highest authorities of the organization, the secretary general and the deputy secretary general, the director of the office of the general directorate of programs, the director general of democracy, the Director of Democracy Participation, but also with interlocutors from the quadrilogue, such as the Secretary General of the Congress of Local and Regional Authorities and the President of the Conference of International Non-Governmental Organizations of the Council of Europe.
