Charlene of Monaco: a very noticeable absence on the National Day
The ten years of marriage between Charlene and Albert was one of the main themes of the day, but the absence of the princess, still suffering, weighed on the hearts of all participants.
This Friday, November 19, the Monegasque people united with their prince for Monaco’s National Day. It should have been party time, but the hearts of the spectators were squeezed when Jacques and Gabriella appeared without their mom who is unfortunately still in pain.
The absence of Princess Charlene also has a strong emotion among Internet users who followed the ceremony broadcast live, from the Palace’s Facebook account. While most commentators rushed to wish the princess a good recovery, someone among them was speculating on her state of health. Proof that Charlene’s absence continues to intrigue.
“We miss you Mom”
The first touched by his absence, Jacques and Gabriella appeared with their dad, Prince Albert, to greet the crowd. From the balcony of the palace, the two children showed little drawings intended for their mother, addressing her sweet words: “We miss you Mum” and “We love you Mum”. A tender gesture from the Crown Prince and the Princess who, just a few days before their birthday, did not fail to upset an already moved crowd.
November 17, Albert wants some scary news of his wife, during an interview with the newspaper Monaco-Morning, claiming that she suffered “from fatigue, not just physical”. Sick for several months, Charlene returned to the Rock on November 15, after an extended stay in South Africa where she would have undergone surgeries to treat a serious infection in the ENT area.
Hardly returned, the Monegasque princess left immediately, for a clinic this time, located outside the Principality because her state of health requires, for the weeks to come, a lot of rest in a medicalized setting. According to Prince Albert, who spoke to the magazine People : “Charlene realized she needed help”.
