The pressure on hospital staff is enormous, so passengers more hospitals are adjusting their visitor arrangements. You can read which hospitals do that here. At ZNA in Antwerp, the visitor arrangement will not be adjusted for the time being. Since November 1, covid patients are not allowed to receive one visitor per day during visiting hours (between 2 pm and 7:30 pm), the number of admission days. This is not to be a regular visitor. Children under the age of 12 are not allowed for the time being.
“In the case of multi-person rooms, we ask that visitors can be accommodated in one room, for example by receiving visitors outside or in the day room by mutual agreement. This way we avoid that there are too many in one room at the same time. In this way we keep the visit as safe as possible”, says Tom Van de Vreken. “The case must certainly adhere to the measures described: surgical mouth mask during the entire visit, disinfecting hands, and so on.”
“At the moment we are not making any changes to the visitor arrangement, but we are closely monitoring the situation. If necessary, we will implement stricter regulations,” concludes Van de Vreken. There are currently 18 corona patients in intensive care and 69 on hospitalization at ZNA hospitals.
