Sugar Mizzy November 18, 2021

Three months after the announcement of the arrival of AS Monaco on the online fantasy football game, we explain in six points everything you need to know about the Sorare universe.

Did you hear about Sorare from a friend, but you haven’t taken the plunge yet? You might not even have quite understood what it is. No problem, we’ll give you a quick six-point recap on fantasy football game created by the French start-up of the same name, which recently lifted its registration.

What is Sorare?

Sorare is a French company created in 2019 by two developers. The eponymous game very quickly meets with growing success. So much so that after two initial fundraising, already promising, the start-up realizes a record lift in September 2021, amounting to approximately € 600 million. Either the most important ever known in France. Since then, interest in this platform has exploded, attracting many clubs around the world.

What is the corn of the game?

We are talking about an online fantasy football game, which allows you to obtain, exchange and play with digital cards of very real players, from more than 200 clubs around the world. These cards are unique, rare and verified by Ethereum blockchain technology, which allows them to be certified and therefore non-duplicable, according to the principle of NFTs (non-fungible tokens).

AS Monaco is proud to embark on @SorareHQ the world football fantasy game #OwnYourGame ??

Collect and trade your favorite players as unique digital cards. Play with your friends and win prizes every week 🎁

How it works ?

Concretely, you can build up a workforce with several player cards, which you can get using the famous cryptocurrency. The corn ? Form a team with your five best elements, to face other holders every weekend. You thus join different leagues in order to compete in tournaments, the results of which can be based on the performance of the players in reality. And with the key rewards for success.

What does it look like ?

In short, Sorare is a kind of mix between your old Panini thumbnails, your career in Football Manager, your MPG team and your FUT (Football Ultimate Team) squad on FIFA. Are you a fan of all these games? You have therefore found the perfect 3.0 compromise to combine your passion for football and your interest in discovering future nuggets.

October 20, 1976, #Maradona debuted for @AAAJoficial. The 15-year-old has beefed up his scorer and has had some meteoric runs. ??

How many types of cards?

There are four different card levels: Unique (1 card per season), Super Rare (10 / season), Rare (100 / season) and Limited (1000 / season). Obviously, the rarer the card owned, the more valuable it is in the market (like the Pikachu card). But good news, you can also have fun without breaking the bank to try to obtain the unique card of Erling Haaland, thanks to the “Common” cards, published without limit of volume.

What about AS Monaco?

The majority of the Principality’s club players already have their card on Sorare. Recently, AurΓ©lien Tchouameni’s unique card was even torn off, after his good performances with the Rouge et Blancs and the France team. It’s up to you to find the card that will win your team.
