The scientific director of the Hydrometeorological Center of Russia, Roman Vilfand, warned some Russians about the abnormal cold. He told TASSin which regions there will be weather anomalies in the coming days.

In some regions, the temperature will drop to minus 30 degrees.

According to the forecaster, abnormally cold weather awaits the Tyumen, Kemerovo, Omsk, Sverdlovsk, Tomsk, Novosibirsk, Chelyabinsk regions, the Komi Republic and the Nenets Autonomous Okrug.

“Cold weather will shift to the south of Siberia, in the center of Siberia and in the west of the Krasnoyarsk Territory. Anomalies will be up to 8-10 degrees. In the Tyumen region, up to 27-29 degrees of frost is forecasted, in the Altai Territory, Kemerovo, Novosibirsk, Omsk regions – 21-23 degrees of frost. In the north of the Tomsk region it will even be up to minus 30 degrees, ”said Vilfand.

In the Nenets Autonomous Okrug and Komi on Thursday and Friday, the temperature will be below normal by 7-13 degrees, at least 29-31 degrees below zero. In the Urals, in the coming days, temperatures are expected to be below normal by 4-8 degrees. “In the Sverdlovsk and Chelyabinsk regions, for example, it will be 20-21 degrees below zero,” he concluded.

Earlier, Vilfand warned Muscovites about a rare weather event: atmospheric pressure this week will drop by 35-40 millimeters of mercury. According to the Phobos center, the pressure will drop to 718-721 millimeters of mercury, but on Sunday, November 21, it starts to rise.
