At the initiative of several local associations, a march for peace and meeting is organized Sunday, November 21 in Toulouse, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Sunday November 21, everyone is invited to participate in the walk of living together. Born from the collective “To build Peace, Osons la Rencontre”, this symbolic initiative was launched following the 2015 attacks, recalls Roger Berlan, of the Compostelle Cordoue association. Under the theme, “Meeting the other in his difference”, it brings together some twenty Toulouse NGOs (non-governmental organizations) “. Son but? Promote peace and contribute to living together in the region through initiatives, including this symbolic march. “It may seem futile, but walking together promotes listening, discussion, between people of different origins, faiths, philosophy and cultures, continues Roger Berlan. Everything is clearly said within a framework of the spirit, no proslytism is also accepted, this collective participates in the development of the sphere of security, of benevolence ”.
It is also a way of fighting against the current isolation of some, favored in particular by the health crisis: We are clearly entering an era of fear for the future. A fear accentuated by the words of certain polemicists. The word and the exchange are solutions ”.
