Toulouse: the man who had armed the terrorist Mohammed Merah arrested in the Izards
Fettah Malki, sentenced for having armed Mohammed Merah to 10 years in prison, was arrested on Wednesday in Toulouse in the Izards district. He did not respect his judicial review.
A police operation was carried out this Wednesday evening, around 8 p.m., at the arrest of Fettah Malki, in the Izards district in Toulouse. This 38-year-old man, convicted of providing a weapon and bulletproof vest to the Toulouse terrorist Mohammed Merah, has not respected the conditions imposed by his control since his release from the administrative detention center of Cornebarrieu a few days ago. He would have liked to get his child back this Wednesday. The departmental security police therefore went looking to hear him. He must be referred during the day.
Fettah Malki was sentenced in 2019, on appeal, by the special assize court of Paris to 10 years in prison. He had provided Mohammed Merah with the weapon and the bulletproof vest that the terrorist used to perpetrate, in March 2012, three attacks in Toulouse and Montauban in the course of seven people, including three children lost their lives.
After her release, Malki was detained at the Cornbarrieu detention center with a view to deportation to Algeria. This ultimately did not take place and he was released and placed under judicial supervision.
