Prague – Negative tests for coronavirus will no longer be recognized as a CV certificate from Monday, with a few exceptions. The tightening of the measure inspired by the so-called Bavarian model was decided today by the incumbent government of Andrej Babiš (ANO). For example, at a hairdresser, in restaurants, in hotels, at cultural or sporting events, or when visiting monuments and museums, people will have to prove themselves by a complete vaccination against covidid-19, or by having the disease in the last six months. The cabinet also agreed to continue comprehensive testing in schools once a week every Monday and to test unvaccinated workers in state-subsidized companies. The measures could apply until the end of February. Compensation for entrepreneurs is in the negotiations due to the expected reduction in sales.
Vlastimil Válek (TOP 09), a team of coalition ODS, KDU-ČSL, TOP 09, Pirates and STAN, presented a different approach to limiting the spread of covid-19 regarding the covid certificates of the future Minister of Health (TOP 09). Among other things, he wants a negative PCR test of no more than 72 hours to be recognized for entry into a number of service establishments. But the war admitted that this test would not apply to some events.
The cabinet tightened the measures with today’s impact on the rapid growth of the disease in the Czech Republic recently, which also has a hospital. Soldiers are already helping in 18 medical and social facilities, and they will join another 15 by Monday. The army also registers dozens of requests for assistance.
There were over 22,500 cases of covid-19 on Tuesday, the most in a single day in the country. On Wednesday, the national holiday, statistics showed more than 14,100 infected, while less is tested on days off. Despite this, the number of infections was about 600 higher than a week ago and 2500 higher than on Monday.
The proof of proof will only apply to children under 12 years of age. The Covid certificate in the form of a PCR test will continue to be available to people under the age of 18, people who have not completed vaccination and those who, according to the certificate, cannot be vaccinated for health reasons. They will be entitled to five PCR tests per month paid for by public health insurance, vaccinated people will continue to pay for two paid tests. Health insurance companies will not reimburse people for antigen tests.
Proof of the test will still be possible, for example, when entering spa care or during elections to the administrative bodies of legal entities. PCR and antigen tests will also be recognized for hospital or social service visits, but not for self-tests. The use of self-tests is not possible on university dormitories. Accommodation will be possible only with vaccination, illness, PCR test not older than 72 hours or antigen test from the collection site not older than 24 hours. Students will need the test every seven days. From Monday, prisons will require visits from a certificate of vaccination, illness or negative PCR test.
Testing in schools was originally scheduled to end in November, when, according to Pavla Hyrčinová, the main hygiene, it did not have a sufficient effect. But experts have criticized such a plan. Now the Ministry of Health wants to set up school testing so that entire classes do not have to be quarantined, but only an infected student. By Monday, the cabinet will collect requests to provide test kits so that there will be enough by the end of February. So far, the last comprehensive testing of antigenic self-tests in schools has been approved on Monday, November 22 and 29.
Minister of Education Robert Plaga announced that he would propose to the government that PCR tests be reimbursed to schools. According to him, the decision to test should have come earlier.
School associations agree with the Regular Testing of Pupils. According to them, it could contribute to better ensuring the safety and operation of schools, in addition, schools have already tested the organization and the testing itself does not cause major problems even for students.
The parameters of testing employees in companies are discussed by the government on Friday, the state contribution should be the same as in the spring. He is now testing workers at his own expense to some extent in a third of the member companies of the Confederation of Industry and Transport, and state subsidies would help to involve more companies. However, the Chamber of Commerce stated that not much could be expected from the reintroduction of area testing in companies, according to her, the detection of infected low was in the spring. During the spring wave of the epidemic, testing concerns individual companies with more than 250 employees, and the cabinet gradually introduced binding tests for even the smallest companies, sole traders and the public sector. Companies could draw 60 crowns from the public health insurance for the test, but they could claim a maximum of four per employee per month.
On Friday, the cabinet should also consider proposals to reintroduce the so-called crisis nursing at 80 percent of the earnings base instead of the normal 60 percent and renew the contribution for people in isolation and quarantine so that they do not avoid losing part of their earnings. These are legislative changes, which subsequently had to be approved by both chambers of parliament and signed by the president.
The outgoing government is due to review the proposals for business support programs on Monday. It will be a re-introduction of the subsidy titles COVID 2021, COVID Uncovered Costs and also the so-called compensation bonus for self-employed persons. Details of the cabinet discussing with trade unions. For example, the Association of Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises and Self-Employed Persons is against the intended condition of a decrease in turnover by half, according to which a minimum of entrepreneurs would reach support. The association expects that after the abolition of the opportunity to prove when entering the services of a negative test, the restaurant will drop by 30 to 40 percent. Theaters in the Olomouc Region expect a drop in attendance of up to a fifth, similar to the Karlovy Vary KV Arena in the pool center and at hockey matches.
The deteriorating epidemic situation has expanded interest in covid-19 vaccination. However, queues at vaccination sites are not formed, with some exceptions, according to the findings of ČTK reporters. The State Institute for Drug Control is now preparing an opinion on a possible shortened interval for boosting the third vaccine. Currently, people can get it at the earliest after half a year, some experts suggest shortening the deadline to five months.
