the indictment of the implicated student is lifted
The Sciences Po Toulouse student accused of rape last February by a young woman is now placed under the status of assisted witness: his indictment was lifted in early November, his lawyer confirmed to France Bleu Occitanie. According to Julien Aubry, it is in particular a new testimony which attracted this turnaround.
Trade in products through defense
The young man’s lawyers first presented “exchanges of messages which maintain that there was no coercion at all”, explains Julien Aubry, adding that a new testimony was then added to the file. The judicial review of his client was therefore lifted., before that is also the case of his indictment.
Towards a non-place?
A dismissal could therefore be pronounced in this case, if the evidence which clears the student is more confirmed than that which could have accused him. “We were all quite relieved”, explains the lawyer of young man, who no longer wishes to speak publicly.
“His state of mind is combative but it’s obviously a complicated situation from the start, it’s something extremely complicated to live”, he continues. The two men also awaits the decision of the disciplinary commission of the university, which was relocated to Bordeaux. The young man continues his studies “at a distance”, specifies his lawyer.
