After a national championship suspended due to covid-19, the Brestois Squash Club represent the road to the N1. They will travel to Aix-en-Provence on Saturday to face the local team (2018 French champion) and Annecy and its XXL squad.
Led by their French captain Grégory Gaultier, 2015 world champion, ex world n ° 1, and by Mohamed el Shorbagy, world n ° 2, the Annéciens will be ultra favorites. SC Brest tended to shake up the hierarchy in order to aim for a qualification for the play-offs which bring together the 4 best teams of the regular season.
For this, the Brest club will call on its typical team, made up of Arthur Moineau (French n ° 20), Briag Isambard (n ° 45), Laouenan Loaëc (18 years old – n ° 30), the Portuguese Rui Soares (n ° 1 Portuguese, 60th player in the world), as well as rookie Omar Mosaad (vice-world champion in 2015).
Thereafter, Finistériens will have the honor of hosting La Rochelle and Mulhouse on Saturday, December 18. Then they will travel to Strasbourg on March 12, 2022 to face the local team and Valenciennes, before finishing at home, once again, on April 2 against Nancy and the Nordistes de Wambrechie.
