FMR, one of the first free radio stations in Toulouse, celebrates its 40th anniversary with two anniversary evenings

40 years is worth celebrating! Known for its freedom of tone and the quality of its musical programming, Toulouse FMR community radio getting ready to assess her fourth birthday.
Created in 1981 at the time of the emergence of free radio on the FM band, FMR radio quickly made a place for itself in the radio landscape of the Pink City. To celebrate its 40th anniversary, the radio station based on Boulevard des Minimes has planned two exceptional evenings.
Concert at the Music Factory
A first highlight will take place on Friday, November 19, 2021, a The Music Factory. A “Rock-Fort” concert (here’s what announces the color!) Is planned from 8 pm, with three local groups: the saboteurs (punk rock), Radical kitten (riot girl), Staretz (Rock). Admission is set at 10 euros.
Concert at the Bikini (with Mouss & Hakim and many others)
Bathroom will come THE big birthday party FMR radio, which will take place on Saturday, November 27, 2021, to Bikini. For the record, the Bikini graciously hosted the FMR studio for several years in its former premises, until the explosion of the AZF factory in 2001, which led to the closure of the concert hall.
For this special concert, the brothers Mouss & Hakim (from the Zebda group), who have just released an album with unreleased tracks by Claude Nougaro, will be there. Other groups are scheduled: Los Sex Pistouls (punk), Dadoo (rap), Astaffort Mods (parodic electro-rap), Collectif CMF et Virage Musique (rap), Les Rentiers (capitalist punk), GRRRZZ (industrial punk), Enduser (Indus Breakcore), Nouzbi (old school hardcore techno), Hellfish & Produceur (hardcore techno).
Admission is set at 20 euros.
An exhibition in the premises of FMR
And that’s not all, an exhibition is currently visible in the premises of the radio, located at 9 boulevard des Minimes, in Toulouse. This is a retrospective titled “FMR, 40 years of radio activity”. A preview is scheduled for December 3, at 7 p.m., with Les Léles and Ange B. (from the Fabulous Troubadors). Entrance is free.
