The people of Debrecen can also find ugly hoodies if they want to help
Debrecen – For the sixth time, they are collecting gifts for those in need in a Christmas party in Budapest and Debrecen.
Get the ugly hoodies out of the closet – this is what the organizers of a charity event with a special atmosphere are encouraging in their announcement this year as well. As they write, this will be the sixth time this year that we can run our coolest top for ourselves in the name of charity with appropriate epidemiological measures. The Ronda Pulcsis Run will start on December 11 in Budapest and Debrecen. You can only take part in each run with a security certificate.
Regina Galambos-Parti and Pál Galambos, the founders of Boots List Hungary, organized the first Christmas Ronda Pulcsis run in 2015. They dreamed of a real family event: small and large, sporty and less agile can take part in the experience run, as the distances can be completed by sprinting, jogging or even walking.
The ugly hoodies will run in the city center of Debrecen on December 11, starting at 10.30 on Baltazár tér, on the Hunyadi utca – Péterfia utca – Piac utca pedestrian zone – Füvészkert utca – Múzeum utca – Baltazár tér route, also touching the planned unloading fair.
According to the announcement of the organizers, the DVSC football team and the women’s handball team will also take part in the run, and the pre-start warm-up will be led by the fitness coaches of the two teams, Ádám Száraz and Henrietta Rácz.
The runners also help the work of the Hungarian Ecumenical Relief Organization and the Debrecen Charitable Body with material donations. Participants in the Christmas Ronda Hoodie run all they have to do is pick up their coolest, ugliest or funniest Christmas hoodie, cap, scarf (and of course their running shoes), bring their ID card and prepare a package for families in need. The organizers are waiting for material donations at the running site, from where they will be forwarded to the aid organizations.
And what should be in the package? We work best with these raw materials (making sure that the warranty period lasts at least until next April):
- canned meat and prepared meals
- jam
- biscuits
- peanut butter (boxed)
- cooking oil
- dry pasta, pasta sauce
- sugar
- rice
- canned fruits and vegetables
- baby food
Anyone can participate in the run free of charge with a security card, but the organizers ask that we register in advance.
