Covid-19. Portugal registers over 2398 cases and 12 deaths | Covid-19
Portugal registered, this Wednesday, over 2398 confirmed cases of covid-19 and 12 deaths associated with the disease, according to the daily update bulletin of the Directorate-General for Health, published this Thursday.
In total, since the beginning of the pandemic, there have been 1,115,080 confirmed cases and 18,295 deaths associated with covid-19.
There are 523 people admitted to Portuguese hospitals – nine more than the day before. Of these, 73 are in intensive care units, minus three.
Currently, 1,055,650 people have recovered from the disease, plus 1,501 in just 24 hours. In total, there are 41,135 active cases – a number reached after subtracting the total number of recovered and deaths from the total number of confirmed cases.
According to data released on Wednesday, the country is currently in the red zone of the risk matrix, which dictates the continuation of the deconfinement process.
