Avarn Security takes over security control at several airports in Norway
Following a thorough procurement process with several providers, Avarn Security has been given responsibility for the security control services at the airports in Trondheim, Bergen and Stavanger.
The agreement between Avarn Security and Avinor enters into force on 1 April 2022 and lasts for four years with the possibility of extension for up to one year.
The new contract marks a change of supplier from Securitas, which was previously a provider of security control services at the three airports. Securitas will continue to deliver its services until Avarn Security takes over.
– We would like to thank Securitas for the good delivery they have delivered over many years, as well as recognize them for a very good collaboration, says Kristin Bjerke, head of passenger and safety at Avinor.
Contribute to the good travel experience
Avinor has a high focus on offering a security check that is safe and good from the supplier, and which is perceived as good by travelers.
– We are convinced that Avarn Security will deliver a good service, and ensure that travelers get a safe and good experience when they travel from our airports, Bjerke continues.
Avarn Security is of course very pleased to be chosen by Avinor.
– We thank you for the trust and look forward to taking over the prestigious safety assignments at Sola, Flesland and Værnes. We are very pleased that we are able to meet the requirements and expectations that Avinor sets for us, both when it comes to safety, quality, efficiency and economy. We love to do everything we can for both Avinor and the travelers are satisfied with our services, says Kjell Frode Vik, CEO of Avarn Security in Norway.
