(ne) The police searched a hotel room on Moselstrasse yesterday evening, following a lead. Two suspected drug traffickers were arrested and some evidence was seized. Even before the officers entered the room in question in a hotel, they met a 39-year-old suspect in the stairwell who had just left the suspicious room. After his arrest, the officers wanted to enter the room. At the same moment, another suspect (23 years old) opened the door and immediately closed it when he saw the police officers. Eventually he was arrested too. During the subsequent search of the hotel room, the officers found almost 30g of heroin, around 33g of crack, a bit of marijuana, over 1,000 euros in cash, a PTB revolver, three jackknives, five fine scales as well as two apparently misappropriated laptops and a number of identity papers from strangers. The two suspects do not have a permanent address. They were taken to police headquarters’ detention cells. THEY ARE charged with trading in crack and heroin in no small amount.
