US State Department: Russia is on the “black list” of countries with non-free religion – Power – News of St. Petersburg
The US State Department will add Russia to the “black list” of countries where freedom of religion is violated. This is stated in a publication on behalf of Secretary of State Anthony Blinken, posted on website departments on November 17.
“I designate Burma, People’s Republic of China, Eritrea, Iran, DPRK, Pakistan, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Tajikistan and Turkmenistan as countries of particular concern in this regard. “Or they allowed them,” the text says.
In respect of infringement, the United States will continue to correct the violations of the law.
This is not the first time the US has criticized Russia in the traditional world. “The fight against Islamic separatists in some regions has led to indiscriminate actions against Muslims by local authorities,” it said in 2013. In addition, “religious organizations complain about the lack of registration.”
