Toulouse: Welcome to the winter village
In Toulouse, at Square Charles de Gaulle, “the Winter Village” launches the winter tourist season with the presentation of ski resorts. But not only…
Created by Haute-Garonne Tourisme, Haute-Garonne Montagne and the departmental tourism council, “the Winter Village” has just taken up residence at Square Charles de Gaulle, in the heart of Toulouse, until November 20. The opportunity for the public to discover the offer of the four ski resorts of Haute-Garonne: Luchon-Superbagnères, Peyragudes, Le Mourtis and Bourg-d’Oueil. But also the whole range of tourist activities in the department, from Zoo Africa, via Tepacap, the Aurignac museum or even hiking clubs.
Absent last year due to a pandemic, the Winter Village is therefore launching the department’s winter tourist season. “I am delighted that it is a little cold this morning in Toulouse. This means that above 2000 meters it snows. This will guarantee us a significant snowpack which will allow us to open our stations on December 3 and 4, ”announced Did Cujives, president of Haute-Garonne Tourisme this afternoon. And to add: “Even if the ski resorts are an essential element of the tourist offer, they do not represent the only winter activity of the department. Other tourism operators come to strengthen this multiple offer ”. Hence their presence in the “winter village.”
