Before the health crisis, several bars and restaurants regularly hosted jazz groups in their homes. Some have closed and others have changed hands.
We remember the Restojazz a few years ago, rue Amélie. Classico, Carson or Papagayo who have disappeared or no longer wish to make this programming.
The recovery took place timidly, first with outdoor performances as we could see on Sundays at noon around the Victor-Hugo market with the Suzanne Barthes quintet or place de la Trinité with the trio of trumpeter Boss Quéraud, come to improvise as a neighbor. Fortunately, other establishments are taking over; thus at Santine, rue Jean Suau we could see last Thursday the New Orleans Fiesta which should also occur at the Chorus, avenue de Muret. The Bear’s Housea received last Saturday, 10 rue du pont Montaudran, the Calamity Jazz; the Bellini, place du Capitole, announces a program every first Thursday of the month with the Toulouse Hot Club which is also the 3rd Thursday of the month at the café Ginette 46 avenue des Minimes. Finally, the Toubib Jazz-Band gave an hour of concert on Sunday, for the stall of the exhibition 111 of the Arts at the Hôtel-Dieu.
As we can see, the recovery is there and there is no doubt that the dancers will follow.
