Park under the main road, Negrelli Square, Vítkov Square or the pedestrian promenade across the railway. These are new elements that can become the focal points of the new look around the Florenc terminal. Buses could now stop on the ground floor of a multifunctional building.
The individual projects of the Florenc 21 urban competition can be seen at the exhibition at the Center for Architecture and Urban Planning (CAMP), where Praguers can express their comments.
Unused and neglected territory
The plan is to build a self-sufficient district, renovate the bus terminal and transport infrastructure and connect the neglected corner to the rest of the city.
“The transformation of this brownfield is crucial for the city, the area is unused and neglected. The surroundings of the bus terminal are also unsightly. Anyone who visits the exhibition can be involved in the decision-making process, “comments Ondřej Boháč, Director of IPR.
From the 57 finals of the registered teams, companies from the Netherlands, Switzerland and the Czech Republic made it to the finals of the competition. “I look forward to selecting the winning proposal,” says Petr Hlaváček, Deputy Minister for Territorial Development (TOP 09).

Impermeability for pedestrians and cyclists is a big problem, and the connection to public transport and international train and bus connections is absolutely essential.
