The rich program of moments in the classroom and guided tours in the companies of the Republic of San Marino for the 12 volunteers of the second round of the San Marino Pavilion begins this morning, who in a few days will leave their homeland to join the rest of the team in Dubai . The departure for 8 of them is in fact scheduled for Wednesday 1 December while the remaining 4 will arrive in the UAE on 19 December. The training, which aims to better prepare young people for welcoming and assisting visitors in the San Marino Pavilion at Expo, will continue until next week. Today, at the opening day, the Secretary of State for Tourism and Expo Federico Pedini Amati, the new Commissioner General Filippo Francini, the Pr Manager of the Commissariat Arianna Serra were also present, who welcomed the boys with a warm welcome. The training week will be divided into several moments: it starts with the introduction to the Universal Expositions and the participation of San Marino in the Expo in history, from Paris in 1878 to Dubai 2020 – curated by Arianna Serra, it continues with “The Treasure of Domagnano “, the lesson curated by the director of the Archaeological Section of the State Museum – Dr. Paola Bigi, to the explanation of the spaces and the interactive app explored by Giacomo Vespignani, project manager of the AC&D Solutions team who, together with the Roncaglia Group, took care of the graphics and multimedia of the Pavilion. To raise awareness of the San Marino economic system, the students will meet the Development Agency and the staff of the Tourist Office regarding aspects of promoting the area. There will be visits to the shop in the corporate realities of the sponsors and partners of the Pavilion, including the Terra di San Marino Consortium, the Serenissima and Lab.301, the artistic jewelery of Klepto, Arzilli, Marlù Goielli and the Barbò ceramics where the boys they will be able to touch and get to know the traditional and typical San Marino products sold in the shop of the San Marino Pavilion. These moments are very important to be able to convey the cultural, culinary and artistic heritage of the Republic to visitors from a distant territory and to ensure that they take away with them a memory of our land. In support of the training week in San Marino, the team of managers of the Pavilion in Dubai is also structuring a Buddy Program in which every single volunteer of the second period will be joined by a volunteer of the first period with the aim of transmitting and promoting knowledge of the Expo site, of the Pavilion routine and of the various activities to be carried out: from assistance to the shop, to communication, to welcoming in the VIP lounge and accompanying business and institutional delegations in bilateral meetings preferred by the dynamics of Expo. The volunteers of the second period are 12 plus 2 reserves, 8 of them will leave on December 1st to support the volunteers already in Dubai for the National Day of San Marino – on December 10th; the last 4 will start on December 19th.
