Josip Stanišić with a positive corona test
IThe FC Bayern soccer team has the next Corona case: Defender Jo Stanišić, who qualified for the Croatian national team for the 2022 World Cup in the past few days, tested positive for Covid-19 in Munich. The club published it on Thursday on its website. In addition to Stanišić, who, according to the press release, is fully vaccinated and in good health, two employees from the Bavarian supervisory staff are said to have been infected with the corona virus, according to the Bild-Zeitung.
However, these developments should not have any further influence on the Bundesliga game in Augsburg this Friday (8.30 p.m. in the FAZ live ticker for the Bundesliga and at DAZN). Unlike in the autumn of the national player Niklas Süle, who tested positive nine days ago despite the vaccination and has so far been in isolation, there are no contact persons from Munich this time.
Joshua Kimmich, Serge Gnabry and Jamal Musiala are in quarantine because they had previously traveled with him on the plane. At least in the case of Kimmich, this measure is related to the vaccination status. He had previously publicly stated in response to a report in the Bild newspaper that he was not vaccinated. In contrast, neither Gnabry and Musiala nor Eric-Maxim Choupo-Moting, who was also in isolation as Süle’s contact person, spoke publicly about their vaccination status.
Kimmich, Gnabry, Musiala and Choupo-Moting could play again on Friday. You have meanwhile tested yourself free. And yet, at least for Kimmich, if he does not get vaccinated, the trips away from home could be the same in the next few weeks. In many federal states, the 2G rule applies in hotels.
