Almost 134,000 university students are studying in Slovakia
There are currently 41 universities in Slovakia, of which 20 are public, three state, ten private and eight foreign. “35,658 graduates left the gates of universities during the last academic year. Most of them were in the field of social sciences, sciences and services, on the contrary, the least in the fields of military and security sciences and sciences,” approached the resort.
It continues that most doctoral students are in the social sciences and sciences, at 36.42 percent. Of the total number of students, doctoral students in these fields of study accounted for 1.61 percent of students. Technical sciences and sciences followed, accounting for 1.08 percent of the total number of students. Then there were the natural sciences, which made up 0.77 percent of doctoral students.
According to MŠVVaŠ, 18,243 students from other countries are currently studying at Slovak universities. The University of International Business ISM Prešov had the largest share of foreigners (35.96 percent).
